                             What's in Level Three?

This is the third book in the Reading Logically reading program.

Adding to the firm foundation of the first two books,

this book has lessons on more difficult concepts, such as

"ow," "oy," "oi," "wr," hard and soft "c," contractions, and

"When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking."

There are some review lessons, to further "cement" the concepts from previous books

firmly in the student's mind, as well as ongoing review built into the stories.

The two pages below give concentrated practice in words that begin with "be," "de," and "re," when those letters are separate syllables and have a long "e" sound.

Concentrated Practice

in a specific skill

helps "cement"

that concept firmly

in the student's mind.

Is your child ready for Level Three?

This little story about Kay and the kittens has eight different words that end in "ay." This reinforces the lessons in Level Two that deal with "ay" at the end of a word making the long "a" sound. Repetition and reinforcement help ensure reading success.

Cute Illustrations!

Is your child ready for Level Four?

Lesson Forty-Nine taught the concept, "When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking," and gave many examples. The next three lessons are stories that give immediate reinforcement and practice. The two-page Lesson Fifty, below, concentrates on "ai" making the long "a" sound, more than 20 times, utilizing several different words.
